Construction Recycler of the Year

BAM Nuttall won the award for Construction Recycler of the Year at the National Recycling Awards 2011.

These annual awards recognise the efforts of local authorities as well as the construction and retail sectors. The award aims to reward a company culture that embraces resource management and promotes waste minimisation as well as the construction and retail sectors, with the waste management community fully recognised, rewarded and represented.

Environment Manager John Hutton states ‘BAM Nuttall was runner up in 2010 and made it onto an impressive short list of four this year.  We are proud and delighted to have won this national award.  It is recognition, not only for the four sites featured in our submission, but for the whole company.  We have achieved fantastic results in waste minimisation and recycling across the board.  Beyond Zero is driving changes in behavior that will no doubt lead to future successes in this area.’
