Royal BAM Group nv
Royal BAM Group was founded in 1869 when Adam van der Wal opened a carpentry workshop in Groot-Ammers, the Netherlands.

Royal BAM Group nv is active in the construction and property, civil engineering, public-private partnerships, mechanical and electrical contracting and consultancy and engineering sectors. In addition, BAM has an interest in a dredging company that operates worldwide.

With around 30,000 employees, BAM is responsible for the implementation of many hundreds of projects every year. Some are spectacular (due to their size or technical complexity), but many others are more modest construction contracts.

Although BAM is a large company, it will consider construction projects irrespective of size. Their regional network gives them the flexibility to get close to their customers and deal with local schemes.

BAM has expanded rapidly via numerous acquisitions, both small and large, in the different sectors in which the Group is active. The largest of these acquisitions were the construction and civil engineering companies of NBM-Amstelland in November 2000 and the European construction group HBG in November 2002.

The BAM philosophy is to offer real value to their clients and work with them to provide the optimum solution.

BAM Construct UK
BAM Nuttall’s sister company is BAM Construct UK Ltd, one of the major building companies in the UK, with an annual turnover of more than £1bn and a committed staff team of around 2,500 people.

BAM Construct operates in most public and private sectors, offering five core business streams - design, construction, property development, facilities management and PFI Projects.

Being close to their customers, supply chain and operations is fundamental to their business approach. With a network of seven regional offices covering Scotland, England and Wales, they are able to understand and become a part of the communities where they work.
