Projects
Understanding our customers’ requirements at an early stage is what really matters.
The Special Projects team are involved in delivering complex and high profile projects for the company.
At the core of many of our projects is the use of ECI (Early Contractor Involvement), used to deliver technically challenging projects such as A500 Stoke Pathfinder which was the first such project to be delivered under an ECI basis. As well as Barnstable Western Bypass, another successfully completed scheme by the special projects team. ECI was also the basis for the recently completed Blackwall Tunnel Refurbishment Project delivered for Transport for London (TfL). Working in a collaborative process the special projects team completed the refurbishment of the northbound tunnel including complex ventilation systems and shafts, thirteen months ahead of schedule, bringing benefits to TfL and a wide number of stakeholders.
Our approach to collaborative working has been an integral part of the delivery of the transformation works for the redevelopment of Stratford. The Special Projects team have worked on the site since June 2006 undertaking a variety of contracts ranging from remediation, demolition and enabling works to the North of the park, hard and soft landscaping packages together with drainage and infrastructure to the site. Following the completion of the London 2012 games the team are appointed to deliver the legacy works for the park to begin the final stage of the regeneration of the area.
The Special Projects team are also working at Kings Cross to deliver a major regeneration scheme for the area, involving major infrastructure works and requiring multiple client and community interfaces.
