BAM Nuttall Rail
Our rail division is located in three regional offices throughout
the UK to provide the optimum service possible to our customers.
In order to match BAM Nuttall's geographical resources with
the arrangement of the various elements of the National Railway
Infrastructure, we have four regional business centres that
offer specialist railway capability to our rail based clients.
The BAM Nuttall railway capability is primarily focussed
on railway civil engineering that is; bridges, earthworks,
drainage, general construction, depots and overhead line work
together with other associated railway infrastructure works.
In Scotland our work is managed through our Kilsyth office
where major schemes such as Dolphingstone realignment, Stirling
to Alloa and Airdrie to Bathgate schemes have been undertaken,
together with other Network Rail Framework activities.
In the North, our activities are centred upon Wigan where
since 1996 we have carried out our £300m of rail related
civil engineering, including such schemes as the slab tracking
of Prestbury and Hibel Road Tunnels and the duelling of the
Trent Valley line. The geographical spread broadly covers
the Network Rail London North West and London North East Territories.
In the South, BAM Nuttall Rail South operates from offices
in Crawley and Swindon, covering the Network Rail Southern,
East Anglia and Great Western Territories. Notable schemes
undertaken in the south include the award winning Clapham
Bridges reconstruction, Potters Bar Canopy replacement in
addition to several depot contracts. This team is also responsible
for civil engineering activities on London Underground Infrastructure
where the works at Neasden Depot are complimented by the specialist
skills contained within Finchpalm Ltd, who's range of services
include provision of safety critical staff to both main railway
infrastructure operators, training and specialist signalling
and mechanical and electrical works.
BAM Nuttall Rail has enjoyed an unrivalled reputation for
the safe delivery of projects and has maintained the lowest
accident frequency rate (AFR) across all the major Contractors
in railway civil engineering for over two years.
