Welcome to BAM Nuttall Bristol City Lock Gates Project
home page. A site created for the multi-million pound scheme
which is set to assure the future effective working of the docks
and to enhance the security of Bristol’s historic flood
defences.
Within the site you will find details of the installation
work being carried out by BAM Nuttall along with information
about the design and fitting of the new gates.
Having successfully completed the first phase of the works
you can now find out here what our Phase 2 plans consist of
as well as discover some interesting facts surrounding the
history of the project.
2009 will see celebrations marking the 200th anniversary
of the harbour and BAM Nuttall are delighted to be involved
with Bristol City Council’s improvement scheme. The
works will help to ensure the docks retain their place at
the heart of the city’s heritage and also assure that
they remain a great place to visit and enjoy.
