The achievements of the Wallasea Island Wild Coast Project were duly recognised at the ICE East of England Merit Awards held at Newmarket on the 15th of September.
The project received awards in all four Merit Award categories, gaining the top ICE accolade of ‘Exceptional Merit’ for Physical Achievement.
The categories and awards won in full were as follows:
- Physical Achievement – Exceptional Merit
- Sustainability – Merit
- Team Achievement – Merit
- Technical Excellence and Innovation – Highly Commended
The Wallasea Island site team were commended on their ability to overcome early technical challenges, maintain high morale and for delivering Phase One of the project 12 months earlier than anticipated.
Representing BAM Nuttall were Dave Bugden, Clare Wells, Rhianwen Condron and Andy Blackledge. Client Jeff Kew, Operations Projects Manager for RSPB Eastern England, also attended to collect the ICE Merit Awards on the evening.
