BAM appointed to UK’s largest framework for construction and infrastructure by Crown Commercial Services

31 October, 2019

BAM has been appointed to the UK’s largest framework for construction and infrastructure. The new, £30 billion, Construction Works and Associated Services framework was launched by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), part of the Cabinet Office.

The framework provides central and local government bodies across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland with simple access to efficient and high-quality contractors who can deliver a wide range of projects from great schools and offices to new bridges and roads.

BAM has been appointed to six general construction lots across Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, and one Airside infrastructure lots. Decisions on a number of additional lots are expected in due course.

Being part of a framework does not guarantee being awarded work, but does give access to a major pipeline of work that only approved companies can compete for.

On behalf of the three BAM companies on the framework, James Wimpenny, Chief Executive of BAM Construct UK, said: “When the Framework proposal was issued we were delighted that the CCS’s focus was firmly on quality, sustainability, value-for-money and continuous improvement. BAM has been delivering construction and infrastructure in the UK for 150 years and we have proved ourselves to be a strong, reliable and innovative partner.

We’re honoured to be part of this framework and look forward to helping central and local government across the country build and deliver high quality buildings and infrastructure.”
